A new brand
Bbaumish is a new brand based in the little village Södra Hålland in Jämtland. Here, close to nature, Sara Björkebaum has started this new project. Knitted garments made from residual wool yarn. OEKO-TEX® 100 and mulesing free. Knitted in Lithuania.
An idea worth trying
During corona I have been working on a new project I have had in mind for many years. This special time made me think a lot about having a side income from my consultancy projects. I have been in the apparel business for for almost 30 years and it is now 25 years since I did something on my own.
Working on existing stock at factories, to use up leftovers has been something I have worked a lot with in the past since that is a good way, of all good ways, to make the apparel business more sustainable, and now I came up with the idea to use up residual yarn at a knitting factory.
The factory had capacity, waiting for components for other orders, stuck in transports or factory delays due to corona. They where really positive about my short notice project and helped me figure out the jaquard pattern I designed on their very technical knitting machines. A graphic pattern with a touch of Jämtland. //Sara Björkebaum
